Green Light is built in, so the receiver is armed as soon as the page opens. To try another song, load it from your device or drop it on the screen; MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG and FLAC work in most browsers, and that file stays on this device. Transmission is a mock-up of the site flow: tap the glass, then move the lens over the screen and hold it on the sigil. The song resolves out of the static as you close in and plays when it locks at 66.06 MHz. The frequency reads red when you're far off and turns green as you close in. The transmission runs 86 seconds and cuts dead nine seconds into the chorus: the trace flatlines and the pre-save link lights up where it stopped. On this prototype the link is a placeholder until the pre-save link is set; after release it becomes the smart link. Bench mode is the full player. Drag a knob up or down to turn it, scroll over it, or use the arrow keys; double-click resets it. CH1 is the left channel and CH2 the right. X-Y plots left against right, so stereo width turns into shape. HF Rej steadies the sync on drums and hi-hats, and Scale Illum. turns the grid down to the plain glass of the album cover. On an iPhone, turn off silent mode if you hear nothing.
